Welcome to Texaco Country Club

Texaco Country Club books private golf tournaments year round. Below you will find the club member's tournament schedule for this year. Registration for a member's tournament listed below should be done by contacting the club manager by phone or email. However, if you want to reserve a date for a private tournament, you may schedule this event on-line by selecting the "Schedule a Private Tournament" hyperlink located to the right in the navigation bar. Simply fill out the accompanying registration form and then use the submit button to send you request to the club manager.

Tournament Rules and Guidelines

The entry deadline for all tournaments is noon on Thursday prior to the tournament date. Please make every effort to register for the tournaments on-time. All pairings will be made and tee times assigned at noon on the Friday prior to all tournaments by the tournament committee. Check with the pro shop for openings.
Maximum handicap strokes allowed for individual play unless otherwise posted with each tournament.
Men's maximum handicap is 21. Women's maximum handicap is 36.
In ALL club tournaments, the tee markers for men will be placed near the midway point of the white tees. Handicaps will be adjusted by the tournament committee for all members who consistently score better than their posted handicap.
All tournament entry fees are $10.00 unless noted otherwise on the tournament schedule.

1/7/06	Saturday	PAR 3 TOURNAMENT: Each hole will have tee boxes setup for a par 3. There will be a closet to the hole competition on each hole. Each closest to the hole winner will receive a dozen golf balls. Limit two (2) closest to the pin winners per individual. Entry fee is $15.00.
2/4/06	Saturday	TWO BALL TOTAL TEAM SCORE: Sign up as a group or individual and be assigned to a group.
3/4/06	Saturday	FOUR MEMBER SCRAMBLE: All players in the group will hit from the tee box. The group then selects the best ball to play. Each player then hits the next shot or putt from the best ball location. This procedure is repeated until the ball is holed. Team handicap is the lowest handicap of the group. Sign up as a group or individual and be assigned to a group.
4/1/06	Saturday	FOUR BALL (TWO) BEST BALLS: Sign up as a group or individually and be assigned to a group.
5/6/06	Saturday	FOUR MEMBER TEAM: One (1) member best ball on par 5 holes, two (2) member best ball on par 4 holes and three (3) member best ball on par 3 holes. Net total best balls. Sign up as a group or individual and be assigned to a group.
6/10/06 and 6/11/06	Saturday and Sunday	MATCH PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP (FLIGHTED): Entry fee $20.00 No consolation bracket. Saturday winners play Sunday. Saturday non-winners will play a Sunday stroke play tournament. Sunday winners schedule future matches with your opponent.
7/8/06	Saturday	FRIENDS OF TEXACO III: This is a four (4) person scramble. Details will be announced at a later date.
8/5/06	Saturday	TWO MEMBER SHAMBLE: Both members drive from the tee box. The best drive is selected. Both members hit from the lie of the best ball and continue to play their own ball until both members hole out. Best net ball is group score. Sign up as a group or individual and be assigned to a group.
8/15/06	Tuesday	TEXACO COUNTRY CLUB RETIRED MEMBERS: Entry fee is $25.00. This fee includes a B-B-Q lunch, golf cart and prizes. Sign up as a group or individual and be assigned to a group. Shot gun start at 8:00 am.
9/9/06 and 9/10/06	Saturday and Sunday	CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP: Entry fee is $20.00. Players will be flighted by handicap. Winners of each flight will receive prizes. The current defending champion is Gene DeBons. THIS IS A TWO DAY STROKE PLAY TOURNAMENT.
10/7/06	Saturday	FOUR MEMBER STABLEFORD: Sign up as a group or individual and be assigned to a group.
11/4/06	Saturday	TWO MEMBER 6-6-6: Handicap will be indicated on score cards handed out at the start of the tournament. Six (6) holes will be played as best ball, six (6) holes will be played as a scramble and six (6) holes will be played as Pinehurst (alternate shots).
12/2/06	Saturday	PAR 3 TOURNAMENT: Each hole will have tee boxes setup for a par 3. There will be a closet to the hole competition on each hole. Each closest to the hole winner will receive a dozen golf balls. Limit two (2) closest to the pin winners per individual. Entry fee is $15.00. LAST CHANCE AT A HOLE-IN-ONE FOR HOLE-IN-ONE CLUB MEMBERS.
12/16/06	Saturday	CHRISTMAS EMPLOYEE BENEFIT: This is an all day blind draw, four (4) person net total event.
