History
Texaco Country Club was established
in 1924 to provide benefits to Texaco employees and annuitants.
Now operated independently, it keeps the Texaco name even though
a growing number of members are not associated with Texaco or
Chevron Texaco. Today, it is a Golfer’s Course.
The property is dedicated to the golf course, golf shop and the
Texaco Grill. Meeting facilities are also available.

The Golf Course
Our eighteen-hole layout is not too
long, but it has earned a reputation as a sporty course.
Fairways tend to be narrow, lined with trees often beautifully
decked with Spanish moss. Although we are only a short distance
from Loop 610 East, there is an abundance of waterfowl and shore
birds that makes one think that the course is far from the
hustle of the city. Greens are generally small, placing a
premium on approach shot accuracy. Water comes into play on
eleven holes.
Five-par #11 approaches the edge of
Greens Bayou and has been recognized as one of the most
beautiful in Houston.
